Some protective measures for signal poles

With the rapid development of the economy, the increasing number of cars has led to traffic congestion. However, traffic signal poles have played a significant and convincing role. Here, the author classifies and convincingly explains the simple traffic light signals:

A light signal:

(1)When the red light on the traffic signal pole is on, vehicles, pedestrians, and vehicles should stop in the parking lot. At a T-shaped intersection with no right-turning vehicles or vehicles, vehicles and pedestrians are not obstructed from being released through the passage.

(2)When the yellow light is flashing, vehicles and pedestrians must ensure pedestrian safety ropes.

(3)When the green light is on, it allows vehicles and pedestrians to pass, but turning vehicles must not block vehicles and pedestrians directly, allowing them to be released.

(4)When the yellow light is on, vehicles and pedestrians are not allowed, but vehicles and pedestrians who have already entered the last segment of the pedestrian crossing without blocking the release conditions, right-turning vehicles, and vehicles at T intersections may not cross the traffic.

(5)When the green arrow is on, the light is bright, and it allows vehicles to follow the arrow.

Lane signal lights: Lane signal lights slow refer to green arrows and red crosses; a green arrow, when the light is bright, obstructs traffic lanes.Pedestrian light signals: Pedestrian light signals include: green light, flashing red light. When the green light is on, it promises to let pedestrians pass through the crosswalk; when the green light is flashing, there are no pedestrians in the crosswalk, and pedestrians can be on the crosswalk without a red light.

Traffic Signal Poles: After the traffic police officer sends signals from the traffic signal pole, traffic is not allowed. Vehicles may have stopped at the intersection. The traffic police officer announces continuous signals, indicating that vehicles can proceed straight, and right-turning vehicles should yield without blocking traffic. When the left turn signal is announced, left-turning and crossing vehicles are allowed to proceed. At intersections where there are no vehicles, vehicles should yield without obstructing traffic.

As is well known, lightning poses a high risk to traffic signal poles in order to ensure the safety and integrity of residents. Lightning rods are necessary to be planned on the ground and can also be installed at the top of the traffic signal pole.

For example, the base of a small traffic signal pole is approximately 400 square millimeters with a 600mm-deep pit, a 500mm-long embedded part, 4 M16 anchor bolts, and four anchor bolts are selected for grounding. The main function of the grounding rod is to connect to the outside world so that when struck by lightning, the grounding rod will release energy to prevent lightning strikes on wires and cables. Detailed installation methods involve grounding rods and anchor bolts with flat iron consolidation, rising to the top of the pit, and extending to the ground. The grounding rod does not need to be too large, with a diameter of 10mm.

The lightning rod installed at the top of the traffic signal pole is approximately 50mm long. If it is too long, it may affect aesthetics, as the traffic signal pole itself will be subject to wind to some extent. Lightning protection and grounding techniques for traffic signal pole foundations far exceed the aforementioned cluttered lightning rod equipment.
